Pike County Municipal Court Warrants
Pike County's Magistrates and Warrants page sends Troy and Brundidge city misdemeanors to their own municipal courts, where a city officer handles the incident report and a municipal judge or magistrate handles the judicial process within that court's authority. A felony still follows the county and state route, even when the event began inside a city. In Pike County, a municipal warrant can grow out of a missed traffic or ordinance date, an unpaid obligation followed by court process, an alleged city misdemeanor, or noncompliance with a municipal order. The local labels matter here: Pike sources say "alias warrant" for failure to appear and "contempt warrant" for certain unpaid bench orders, and the exact docket label controls what happens next.
Troy and Brundidge Warrant Channels
Troy and Brundidge run separate systems, so treat them separately. Troy gives Pike County residents an online municipal traffic and criminal case search, a court office, and published payment rules. Brundidge publishes Court Administration and Police contacts but no public warrant or case portal.
| City | Municipal court route | Supported warrant matters | Phone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Troy | Online case search and Municipal Court | Traffic, ordinance, city criminal, alias and contempt records as docketed | (334) 566-4248 |
| Brundidge | Court Administration by phone or email | City matters; ask for exact warrant type | (334) 735-2887 |
| Goshen | No official municipal warrant portal located | Use the court printed on the notice | Pike clerk: (334) 566-5113 |
| Banks | No official municipal warrant portal located | Verify jurisdiction with Pike court or Sheriff | Sheriff: (334) 566-4347 |
Goshen and Banks are Pike County's other incorporated places. Neither posts its own public municipal warrant system. Don't route them to Troy just because Troy is the county seat.
Troy Municipal Warrant Search Fields
The Troy Public Online Record Search can display pending and historical cases, future dates, status, payment details, and possible active-warrant information. Search by an identifier. A common name alone pulls too many false matches across Pike County.
| Mode | Use | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Find a possible Troy party record | Identity must be confirmed |
| Citation number | Match a traffic or ordinance citation | Troy cases only |
| Docket number | Open a known court case | Not a countywide lookup |
| PD case number | Use a Troy police identifier | May differ from docket number |
| Warrant number | Search a known city warrant | Does not cover all Pike warrants |
| VIN | Use VIN with plate and state | Portal-defined vehicle mode |
Does a result show an active warrant? Call Troy Municipal Court first. Paying online will not necessarily clear it, so ask the court what step actually works in Pike County.
Checking a Municipal Court Warrant
Use whichever channel fits the matter. Troy offers a portal and a court clerk. Brundidge requires direct contact with Court Administration. The Pike County Sheriff's website has no searchable active-warrant database, and its Most Wanted feature is not a city warrant list. Alabama Just One Look is paid and case-by-case, not a public statewide warrant search.
- Read the city and court from the citation, bond paper, or notice.
- Use Troy’s identifier search or call Brundidge Court Administration.
- Ask the clerk for the exact warrant type, number, and current status.
- Use a narrow records request only for public records held by that office.
- Confirm any resolution through a docket entry or recall order.
Alabama public-records law gives residents a general inspection right, subject to exceptions and agency procedures. It does not open an unserved Pike County arrest warrant, sealed case, juvenile record, or youthful-offender record.
Brundidge Municipal Warrant Phone Route
The Brundidge departments page lists Court Administration at (334) 735-2887 and court@brundidgeal.gov, open weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It posts no separate court address, no online warrant lookup, no fee table, and no standing surrender schedule. Call before you travel anywhere in Pike County.

When you call, ask the right questions. Is the order an alias warrant, contempt warrant, or something else? Ask whether a signature bond or judge appearance is available, what payment the court accepts, and how a recall gets documented. Troy's policies don't carry over to Brundidge or anywhere else in Pike County.
Inside a Municipal Court Warrant
A good city warrant record ties the warrant to its underlying municipal case. The record may carry several numbers. Each one serves a different office function in the Pike County system.
| Municipal court | Troy, Brundidge, or the exact city court shown by the record. |
|---|---|
| Case identifiers | Citation, docket, police case, and warrant numbers. |
| Named defendant | Legal name and any identity details maintained by the court. |
| Original matter | Traffic, ordinance, misdemeanor, or other city allegation. |
| Appearance history | Scheduled date, failure-to-appear event, and any reset. |
| Warrant event | Exact type, issue date, number, and service or execution status. |
| Financial entries | Fine, court cost, fee, bond, payment, or balance line. |
| Recall and next date | Recall order, processing note, and the next required appearance. |
Paying a balance does not replace a recall entry. A disposed case is not the same status as an unserved warrant, so verify with the Pike County court.
Pike Municipal Warrant Scope Myths
Municipal systems have sharp edges. Troy's portal only covers Troy court cases. A blank result there does not prove that Brundidge, Pike District Court, or a federal court holds no warrant. In the same way, an empty Most Wanted page does not mean every Pike County city warrant is cleared.
Myth versus fact: “Not on the Sheriff list” never equals “no municipal warrant.” The issuing city court is the controlling source.
City police serve municipal process. The Pike County Sheriff serves county process. No official Pike County city-marshal roster is posted. Only the issuing court can recall its own warrant; no other agency can perform that judicial act.
Troy Warrant Rules by Citation
Troy's instructions split citations that may use ordinary payment routes from court-mandated cases. Court handling is required for suspended or revoked license, reckless driving, leaving the scene, failure to obey an officer, no tag, racing, DUI, and Blue Light Law matters. Only the court can say whether payment, appearance, bond, or diversion is available. Troy Municipal Court sits at 300 East Elm Street, Troy, Alabama 36081, reachable at (334) 566-4248 and court@troyal.gov, with weekday hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It normally meets on the first and third Wednesday, but confirm the docket before traveling to Pike County. Note: A warrant-number search may identify the case, but only the court can give the current response instruction.
Pike Municipal Amnesty Was Dated
Troy once gave people a cleaner path. Its Amnesty and Signature Bond Week ran March 6 through 10, 2023, and it applied to more cases than you might guess. Traffic, parking, litter, animal, and noise citations qualified. So did alias warrants for failure to appear, plus unpaid fines with contempt warrants tied to bench orders. The deal brought real relief. The city waived a $25 failure-to-appear fee, dropped the $35 state bail fee when the person was not arrested, and cut the $12 warrant fee on executed alias warrants. Treat that week as history, though, not a standing promise. New arrest warrants on nontraffic cases sat outside the program, and matters that did not qualify could still mean a signature bond, an arrest, or a referral to another agency. Neither Pike County nor Brundidge runs a current amnesty event, so watch city news and court announcements in Pike County before counting on a future one.
How to Resolve a Municipal Warrant
Every municipal warrant ends differently, because each court handles it its own way. In Troy, Brundidge, or anywhere in Pike County, resolution might mean a new court date, payment on an eligible case, a signature bond, an appearance before the municipal judge, surrender, or a signed recall order. Call the municipal clerk and give the case or warrant number. Ask whether payment alone changes the warrant status and whether another agency must be told.
Close the loop: Keep the payment receipt, bond paper, new date, and written or docketed warrant recall together.
The Alabama forms appendix lists CR-59, the Warrant-Summons Recall Order. Only the issuing court can recall a warrant in Pike County. If counsel is involved, hand the attorney every notice and identifier. Do not miss a new setting while the old warrant is sorted out.
